Jessica: Not too long ago a wise mentor reminded me of something that really
puts life in perspective.
You can't appreciate where you are, if you don't know where you came from, a
simple, yet powerful statement that means so much.
This week we looked at where Oklahoma began.
What was once a lawless, barren outland suddenly turned into a prosperous
city that was literally built from the ground up.
Guthrie, Oklahoma, now stands as a visual
reminder of that historic time.
If it weren't for our tenacious forefathers, Oklahoma wouldn't be the
great state it is.
Together we can appreciate our state's past, while leaping into a future of
new achievements and endless possibilities.
