Farm roots run deep in Oklahoma but as our state becomes more urbanized, those rural ties are becoming strained. In an effort to save money, many city residents are buying a few chickens for their backyard and while Oklahoma may be a rural state, urban chickens are currently illegal in the state's capitol city.
